A small balanced meal is provided to keep the children active.

Snack time:

Snacks are served throughout the day and include fresh or dried fruit and a carbohydrate snack to re-build energy levels.

In the Super Stars room we operate a self-service system at mealtimes supported by members of staff who join them at meal times.

In the Clever Cats room children are encouraged to help themselves with the support of staff members.

Bright Buttons mealtimes are set according to their daily routine. We provide suitable weaning foods and will puree them or mash depending on the stage a child has reached. We will always work with parents to introduce new foods. We are happy to continue with parent's choice of Baby Led Weaning.

We ask parents to supply formula milk, but in order to make life as easy as possible on a nursery day we are able to make up babies bottles and sterilise them. If a parent is still breastfeeding and wishes to bring in a supply of breast milk we have the facility to freeze this milk and are happy to continue to feed a baby with their mother's milk.

Under the Food Standards Agency our Food Hygiene Rating is 5 - Very good.
