At lunch times children help with setting the table, handing out cutlery, cups etc, the staff help them to serve, they have a freshly made lunch followed by a dessert, staff sit with the children at lunch time and are there to assist if the need arises, encouraging them to eat all their lunch, promoting good table manners. Bright Buttons mealtimes are set according to their daily routine. We provide suitable weaning foods and will puree them or mash depending on the stage a child has reached. We will always work with parents to introduce new foods. We are happy to continue with parent's choice of Baby Led Weaning.
We ask parents to supply formula milk, but in order to make life as easy as possible on a nursery day we are able to make up babies bottles and sterilise them. If a parent is still breastfeeding and wishes to bring in a supply of breast milk we have the facility to freeze this milk and are happy to continue to feed a baby with their mother's milk.
Under the Food Standards Agency our Food Hygiene Rating is 5 - Very good.
