- What if I need to change my child's regular booking?
If you need to change your child's regular booking pattern, we ask that you speak to the nursery manager and also put your request in writing.
Every effort will be made to accomadate your request as quickly as possible; however if you wish to increase your booking this will depend on availability and if you wish to decrease your booking 4 weeks notice is required
- What if my child is poorly?
If your child is too ill to attend nursery we ask that your inform the nursery of their abscence and you will be charged at normal rate.
Penny Pot Nursery follows the Infection Control in Schools and other Childcare Settings Guidance published by the Public Health Agency; however if we deem it necessary to safeguard the children in our care, our own policies will supersede the Public Health Agency guidance.
If your child becomes unwell whilst attending nursery, you will be contacted immediatley and asked to collect your child
- What do I need to provide / bring to nursery for my child?
At least 2 full sets of clothing (labelled), including underwear and socks
Waterproof Suit
Wellington Boots
Sun Hat
During your "settling in" visit you will recieve a nursery bag to store all their belongings in and we ask that you check your child's bag regularly to ensure the clothing still fits and is suitable for the current weather conditions.
- What happens if my child requires medication at nursery?
If your child requires medication whilst in atatendance you will be asked to complete either a Short Term or Long Term Medication form which outlines the type of medication, what it has been prescribed for and if your child has had any medication prior to attending nursery.
All medication must be handed to a senior member of staff for safe storage
Short term medications, include medicines such as antibiotics and creams / drops for eye infections
Long term medications, include medicines such as inhalers and antihistamines
NO OFF THE SHELF MEDICATIONS SUCH AS COUGH MEDICINES WILL BE ADMINSTERED BY THE NURSERY
The only non prescribed medication we will admister is CALPOL; however in line with our policy only one dose will be adminsitered whilst your child is attending nursery
